You’ve talked about it. You’ve even dreamed how different things could be. Now it’s time to make it happen—let’s unify the world one person at a time!

Make a valuable connection

It’s time to think back to your self evaluation. Were there any groups, people, etc. that you didn’t agree with? Maybe you know someone that belongs to that opposing group or you may not. Regardless it’s time to plant a seed, to build a bridge, between a person of a differing mind than your own. Who you decide to connect with could literally change the world. How will you do it? What will you say? This is the cause, the challenge, the prize that you’ve been hoping for.  Go after it! We’ll give you some suggestions. 

How to connect ideas: 

– Invite them over for a meal, or out for lunch. 

– Take them to a show, the theatre, or your favorite past time sporting event. 

– Go for a walk in the park and take them along. 

Now what exactly is it that we’re trying to accomplish? This connection and how it plays out is up to you. The goal is to connect with members of your kin that don’t exactly walk in your current social circle, and build a new friendship. It may be a simple exchange at first or it may be a connection that blossoms into a life long friend. Get to know this person. Share as much of your life as you are comfortable with to them. Let them know the good person you are and seek to see the good in them—then point it out. There are no rules on this challenge other than making the effort to make a new connection with a person whom you disagree—on either a social, political, moral or other viewpoint.  

We are so proud of you! You are one of our kin and part of the Kin United movement. Once you’ve made a new connection with a person as discussed above—step 6 will have been completed. You’ve made a real difference in the world. It’s time to finish this challenge up. On to Step 7!
